We thought that we would post something different and actually recommend a very authentic Swedish venue in our very own backyard, namely Restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok.

Restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok are located close to Millennium Residence Bangkok on Sukhumvit Soi 18 and is just a few mins walk from the Millennium Residence gates leading to Soi 18.

With very authentic Swedish cuisine, restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok has become very well known for the local Swedish expat community but with more and more nationalities finding their way over and even Thais are now frequenting and tasting the many delicacies.

Restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok – The Shop

The shop at restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok in Soi 18 have  a vast number of genuine Swedish favorites such as various flavored herring and, not least, proper crayfish a lá Sweden.

You can also buy snus here which is a moist powder tobacco product originating from dry snuff in 18:th century Sweden and a product well established in Swedish history and culture.

Not for the fainthearted though as it is quite strong.

Restaurant Cajutan in Bangkok – The Menu

The menu consists of many Swedish goodies and some are up for home deliveries as well.

Toast Skagen, Smorgosboard plates, Biff a lá Lindstrom, Biff Rydberg, Norwegian Salmon, Flying Jakob, Swedish meatloaf, the famous homemade kebab Swedish style, traditional Swedish meatballs with all genuine condiments and much more.

And do not forget the Swedish Shrimp Sandwich (Räckmacka) that comes with a nice chunk of with imported prawns.

If you dare, try the amazing shots, Turkish pepper, Polkagris or Ahlgrens Cars, which can sneak up on you if you are not careful due to its distinct candy flavor.

Of course, there are a variety of international cuisine available such as fish & chips, pizzas and Thai cuisine.

There is even a children’s menu for the small ones and, of course, desserts.
